Standing With Those Who Serve
SDPD Widows and Orphans Fund
Every shift carries real risk. When a San Diego police officer is seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, the impact reaches far beyond the station. It's felt by spouses, children, and families who are left facing sudden financial uncertainty on top of unimaginable loss.
The Widows and Orphans Fund, operated by the San Diego Police Officers Association, provides immediate financial assistance to those families, helping bridge the gap while benefits, insurance, and long-term support are processed.
Suresh spent time on a ride-along with officers in the community to see firsthand what they experience every day. That experience reinforced a belief he already held: support has to mean more than words.
He has personally contributed to the fund and encourages others in the community to do the same. Because real support shows up when it's needed most.
