When emergencies happen, seconds matter. And keeping firefighters safe while they do the hardest job in the city has to come first.

Suresh partnered with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and the San Diego School District STEAM Program to support their UAS (drone) program, which provides aerial visibility during wildfires, structure fires, and search-and-rescue operations. These tools help crews assess conditions faster, reduce risk, and make better decisions on the ground.

But this partnership is about more than equipment. By connecting drone technology to training and education, the program is creating pathways for local students and residents to learn real-world emergency response skills. It's an investment in both the safety of today and the workforce of tomorrow.

Suresh personally contributed funding to support the program and continues to work alongside the department to expand its reach across San Diego.
